I bring Hannah to playgroup twice a week except for school holidays. She loves the playgroup and the one and a half hour seems to fly each time we're there. They have tons of toys to keep the kids entertained and does crafts, singing(mostly simple nursery rhymes with actions) and storytime. She learnt how to sit still when a story's being told, how to raise her hands to her head when we're singing the heads and shoulder knees and toes song, how to turn around during the hokey pokey song, falls like a Humpty so mama can catch her during the Humpty Dumpty rhyme, sitting in front of the table beside her friends and have her fruits during the snack time. Since joining the playgroup, she's gotten less clingy which is absolutely great! And besides all these mama get to yak away with other moms and not worry bout keeping the child entertained! The downside..of course is she falls sick so much more often than she used to (and IT IS VERY HARD to take care of a sick child) with all the contagious flu bugs and what nots flying around. But I think the plus definitely outweighs the sick part, what with me and darling being Hannah's sole carers, she needs the social interactions.
Some recent photos of her in playgroup.
Finger-lickin good
Her favourite trio-rocker
Among the things she has made (with my help) - a caterpillar, countless doodles, a blossom tree.
She mainly played with glue while I stick the stuff in place but nevertheless made her papa's day
